The early symptoms of breast cancer are also very common, but if they are not recognized and treated at the right time, then they can prove to be fatal. Usually, pain in the breast or feeling of lump is considered a sign of breast cancer. But there are some symptoms of breast cancer that most women are not aware of. In today’s article, we will give you information about the types and symptoms of breast cancer –

Cancer is caused by mutations in the genes that control cell growth. Mutations cause uncontrolled growth of cells. When there is an uncontrolled growth in breast cells due to mutations, it is called breast cancer. Typically, cancer forms in the lobule or duct of the breast. Lobules are the glands that produce milk, and ducts are the passageways that bring milk from the glands to the nipple. Cancer can also occur in the fatty tissue or the fibrous connective tissue within your breast. Cancer cells usually enter the lobules and ducts, invade healthy cells and spread to other parts of the body.

Types of breast cancer:

1. Ductal carcinoma

Ductal carcinoma is a non-invasive (non-invasive) condition. In this, the cancer cells are confined to the ducts in your breast and do not invade the surrounding breast tissue.

2. Lobular carcinoma

Lobular carcinoma is a cancer that grows in the milk-producing glands of your breast. Like ductal carcinoma, in lobular carcinoma, the cancer cells do not invade the surrounding tissue.

3. Invasive ductal carcinoma

Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer. This type of breast cancer starts in the milk duct of your breast and then invades the surrounding tissue in the breast. Once breast cancer spreads to tissue outside your milk duct, it can begin to spread to other nearby organs.

4. Invasive lobular carcinoma

Invasive lobular carcinoma first develops in the lobules of your breast and invades nearby tissue.

5. Paget’s Disease

This type of breast cancer begins in the nipple ducts. But as it grows, it starts affecting the skin and organ of the nipple.

Symptoms:

Each type of breast cancer can cause a variety of symptoms. Many of these symptoms are similar, but some may be different. The most common breast cancer symptoms include –

  • change in breast size
  • lump or swelling under the breast or arm
  • pain on breast
  • any fluid or sticky discharge from the nipple
  • turning and turning of the tip of the nipple
  • swollen breasts
